We are a ministry of First Lutheran Church, and as such, our mission sets us apart from other childcare centers. Unlike a traditional business, our focus is on serving our community rather than generating profits. We prioritize the growth and well-being of the children in our care above all else. Any funds beyond our operational expenses are not viewed as profit, but are reinvested into enhancing our ability to serve and care for your children.

About Texas Rising Star
Numerous research studies have shown that children who attend higher-quality early learning programs are more prepared for school entry than children who do not attend high-quality programs. Childcare and early learning programs that achieve Texas Rising Star certification offering quality care that exceeds the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Child Care Regulation (CCR) minimum standards, are in a better position to positively affect children’s physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development. Our center operates within a Christian environment that nurtures the love and care found in the home. We deeply value each child as a unique creation of God, celebrating their potential, interests, and growth. We offer a variety of enriching activities that promote a positive self-image. We also aim to actively involve families in the children’s daily learning experiences.

Mission Statement

Kids of the Kingdom Lutheran Child Development Center provides a Christian environment that aims to enhance the love and care of the child’s home. We believe each child is a unique gift from God and this ministry is designed to provide developmentally appropriate activities for children ages six weeks through five years old. We promote the child’s total physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual development through providing a variety of activities in an enriched environment that fosters a positive self-image.

Curriculum
We use the respected Frog Street Curriculum, designed specifically for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our program emphasizes the development of self-esteem, confidence, and independence, all within a fun, nurturing, and loving atmosphere. Weekly chapel services and Bible teachings are integral to our faith-based program, helping to instill strong Christian values in the children we serve.
